Blog Post #12~ What were some of the main points in Thomas Groome’s book, “What Makes Us Catholic?” Do you agree/disagree and why? Some main aspects in the book that I agreed with was the beginning where it discusses the importance of being catholic. This being said, it discusses significance concepts that are important throughout church history. This shows where the catholic faith began. This also shows how the catholic faith has evolved. However I disagreed with some sections that discuss that in order to be a catholic you have to do something. Overall, I had mixed feelings upon the book and the points it made. What were some new things that you learned about Pope Francis’ life from the video clips? I learned the life Pope Francis grew up in as well as where he was influenced to be apart of the church. I also learned where he grew up in and the times that he loved threw that were difficult for him. Also I learned that he is very involved with the poor. And how he is
